Put aside never-ending work, board on ferry and escape!
Went Batam wif CLing n her parents. It was definitely a lovely trip, CLing's parents were cute like CLing! We met at Harbour Front Centre, took e ferry Penguin to Sekupang, Batam Island. Tis jetty was not e same as e one daRlin9 n mi boarded last year. Then onli i learnt that there are 3 jetty in Batam!!! (n we actually boarded ferry from Batam Centre Ferry Terminal on our way back to spore!)
This trip was different from last trip too, coz tis was more like a shopping trip, n we toured ard Batam city. We visited two temples as well. We didnt stay in resorts, we stayed at Golden View Hotel, which was opened last Oct, so it is realli veri new, n their service is veri good! but then, coz it is new, so dun realli hav much facilities. In their booklets found inside hotel room, u can find info written in English, Indonesian, Japanese and Korean! but no Chinese *o* Batam ppl r simple, they lead a relaxing kind of life. We start wonder, y spore ppl need to rush into a mrt while another train will be reaching in 4 mins time? in batam, 4 mins is really nothing, they can even wait for 30 or 40 mins, it is not a big deal at all! Running n rushing into a train, seem like a Big Joke to Batam ppl. They take a much much slower pace.
